Netball Training Program for Mercantile Players – 2024
A comprehensive netball training program was conducted in 2024 for Mercantile Netball players, focusing on skill development, fitness enhancement, and tactical awareness. The program aimed to strengthen team performance and prepare players for upcoming local and international tournaments, ensuring a higher standard of play within the Mercantile Netball circuit.

Five-Day Basic Netball Training Program in Trincomalee
In collaboration with the Security Force Headquarters – East, a five-day Basic Netball Training Program was successfully conducted at the 22 Infantry Division Grounds, Trincomalee.
This initiative aimed to promote grassroots netball development in the region and provide young school athletes with foundational skills, discipline, and exposure to structured training under the guidance of Mrs, Sanjeevani Wanasingha, (President Mercantile) with the support of Army Netball team players and Physical Training Instructors.

Netball Kits Donation by Hong Kong Football Club 2019 / April
Demonstrating a true spirit of sportsmanship, the Hong Kong Football Club generously donated netball kits to several schools across Sri Lanka. This thoughtful gesture aims to uplift and support young athletes in their sporting journey.
Among the beneficiaries is Bandarapola Maha Vidyalaya, Matale, a school renowned for its consistent victories in various age categories at the MILO Netball Championships. They received complete playing kits and other essential equipment for all their netball teams.
Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo 05, along with numerous schools from the Trincomalee district, also received kits through this initiative, promoting inclusivity and encouraging the development of netball talent across the island.
This donation marks a meaningful collaboration in nurturing the next generation of netball players while strengthening international sporting ties.
