Who We Are

Established in the late 90s, we are affiliated with the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka (NFSL) and have been instrumental in shaping the corporate netball landscape in the country.

Achievements & International Exposure

MNA has consistently dominated Sri Lankan netball, producing undisputed champions in corporate tournaments. This success led to international exposure, with notable overseas tours:

  • 2015 – MNA accepted an invitation from the Netball Federation of the Kingdom of Brunei for a friendly tour.
  • 2017 – MNA participated in the International Women’s Tournament in Hong Kong,
strengthening ties with the Hong Kong Football Club (HKFC).

  • Several MNA officials have also made significant contributions at the national level:

  • Mrs. Thamara Dharmakirti Herath served as President of the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka (NFSL) from 1996 to 2001.
  • Mrs. Sanjeevani Wanasingha was elected General Secretary of NFSL in 2015/16 and later served as Treasurer for 2021/22.
  • Mrs. Jayanthi Somasekaram De Silva held the position of General Secretary of NFSL in 2017.
  • Miss Kumudini Gomes resumed duties as Secretary of NFSL in 2021/22.

Recent Developments & Digital Presence

A landmark moment in MNA’s history came in 2022, when its league tournament was broadcast live for the first time through Gaja TV, a tradition that has continued until 2024, and from 2025, the same telecast will continue with ATV, ITV, YouTube and Facebook.

To further enhance its reach, MNA launched its official website on September 3, 2023, and renewed in 2024, complementing its Facebook page, which has been active since 2017.

With a strong foundation and a vision for the future, MNA continues to be a driving force in Sri Lankan netball, fostering talent and expanding opportunities for players in the corporate sector.MNA is a result of hard work and teamwork of all the exco members who have served for its betterment unconditionally.
